CCCA holds regular national roundtables to meet together, discuss, initiative, and achieve results for Chinese Australian community sectors around Australia.

Aims and Objectives

Adopted by the Founding Committee, under President Tony Pun OAM, 2007

Advocacy role

  • To advocate and represent the interests of the Chinese community Public policies (Health, Immigration, Education, Foreign Affairs, etc.)

  • Access and equity issues in the provision of government services

  • Anti-racism and racial vilification

Promotional role

  • To recognise and promote the aspirations and achievements of individuals or organisations in Chinese community (public recognition - awards, etc.)

Unity Role as an umbrella body

  • To foster a spirit of cooperation and harmony among Chinese community organisations; including a role for community mediation when requested. Unity on the basis of common Australian interests.

Multicultural Australia

  • To practice and embrace a cultural diverse and social cohesive society (support an Australian multicultural society and foster links with other culturally diverse community and their organisations).
